Dance Examinations
We follow the Royal Academy of Dance Ballet and ISTD Modern and Tap syllabus. We hold regular exam sessions where our students gain excellent results. We are incredibly proud of the standard of dance technique and artistry reached by our students.
Royal Academy of Dance Ballet Exams
Around the world, RAD exams are recongised for their quality, and each year, nearly a quarter of a million candidates across the globe choose to take their dance exams with Royal Academy of Dance.
They offer a wide range of exams and assessments to motivate and reward students of all ages and abilities. Their focus is on creativity and musicality, providing opportunities to progress and achieve. It’s not just professional or young dancers who take our exams; age is no barrier to success. At any stage of your life or career you can develop your fitness, musicality and artistry.
ISTD Modern and Tap Exams
The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance are one of the world's leading dance examination boards with the widest range of dance genres available. The ISTD are a registered educational charity, supporting and training our members through a variety of courses, teaching syllabi and techniques. Wells Ballet & Dance School are delighted to offer our students a range of Modern and Tap ISTD exams.
Taking an examination
We teach the Royal Academy of Dance and ISTD syllabi in classes and students have the opportunity to take an examination when they reach the required standard. We recommend taking examinations but students can also dance for fun and enjoyment. Students achieve a certificate, medal and report sheet from Royal Academy of Dance or ISTD.
