Welcome to Wells Ballet School

We offer high quality ballet and dance tuition in Wells Town Hall, City of Wells, Somerset BA5 2RB. We provide weekly dance classes for children aged 3 - 18 years. We are one of the leading dance schools in the South West region and have been running dance classes in Wells for 20 years.

We are a happy and caring dance school that strives to encourage a love of dance and performing arts. We offer a professional dance training in a fun and nurturing environment. Many of our students start their dance journey in pre school ballet and continue lessons until they reach Advanced standard.

Teachers are highly qualified with Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance (ISTD) and have a wealth of experience teaching pupils of all ages. Pupils develop fitness, flexibility, posture, poise, coordination, musicality, artistry and self confidence.

Students have the opportunity to take dance exams and gain excellent results. We also organise large scale dance shows at Wookey Hole Theatre, lots of performance opportunities and competition preparation for talented pupils.

We pride ourselves on the standard of dance technique reached by our students, some of whom have gained places at leading professional dance schools and dance teaching programmes to further their training.

Our classes are run and taught by Zoe Burton BA (Hons) Royal Academy of Dance RTS, LRAD, AISTD, AIDTA & ALAM LAMDA and Andrea Taylor BA (Hons) Royal Academy of Dance RTS, RAD teacher training mentor and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) teacher.

We work in association with Somerset Dance Umbrella, Sandra Davey AISTD Dip and graduate of Laine Theatre Arts. They provide Jazz, Modern, Tap and Contemporary dance classes for our students in Wells Town Hall. Please see www.somersetdanceumbrella.co.uk
